We had a great time vacationing in Sunriver! There is so much to do, so close by — canoeing, the nature center and observatory, the SHARC, great food. It was perfect for young kids and family members. The house was as described and met our needs well. The upstairs bedrooms (one in particular) were hotter than the rest of the house. Although billed as family friendly, there were a few things that made us nervous with young kids, so I’m sharing so that other families can make an informed decision: window blinds all over the house that mostly did not have an apparatus to secure loose cords; a laundry chute in the upstairs bathroom at floor level that a small child could have easily fallen down; fire pokers sitting out next to the fireplace (we removed these and put them back at the end of our stay). Nonetheless, it was overall pleasant and worked well for us.
